EPW - Tavannes, Swiss, "La Captive" model silver shuttered purse watch made for Dunhill, 46mm x 40mm, sterling silver original case with attractive geometric engraving detail to front and rear, initials engraved to rear, sides are pressed inward to open front shutters and reveal dial, refinished silvered dial marked ""Dunhill, Chronometre Tavannes," SW-SS, lever escapement, 15J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#77814. CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches to plates, small spot of oxide to smaller winding wheel, some areas of black color loss to markings; refinished dial is cosmetically superb in visible portion; excellent hands; case shows very little wear, some scuffing and few fine scratches to front and rear, marring to mvt cover edge, few tiny nicks along edge portions, no dents, slightly reduced engraving detail; crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
